Big Hello to everyone and apologies for being invisible for so long on the blog. I was actually very busy and bit lazy throughout January. Lots of action was happening at workshop last month and still continued. As you know January is synonymous with Bollywood Award Ceremonies, of course they need their gala time too. So today’s post is about best dressed actresses at recently concluded 60th Filmfare awards. Sorry we can’t help it but have to take a close watch on who wore what !! So Let’s begin style scrutiny.
When it comes to best dressed Indian celebrities first name pops up in my mind is none other than glamorous diva Sonam Kapoor. So today I am revealing this secret that I like most of her looks, therefore she tops my list here as well. It’s no secret she opts for Anamika Khanna quite often when it comes to Indian wear. She opted for nude beige Anamika khanna draped lehenga saree and I am totally drooling over her chand balis (earrings).
Next on my list is Deepika Padukone in this Ivory dress from Ashi Studio, although I find trail of the dress more interesting than its bodice, did you spot her oxblood lipstick , seems like she is in love with this colour head over heels.
Neha Dhupia stands out in this Alpana & Neeraj colour blocked black and cobalt blue gown. Her hairdo, smokey eyes and breathtaking bow are oh so gorgeous and she is undoubtedly looking at her best.
Nargis Fakhri looks adorable in this mirror and cutwork blue cowl dress by Sonakhshi Raaj. Her hair up-do and front bags makes her look cute and much younger.
I liked Kalki Koechlin’s interesting and modern take on the saree. She was dressed up in a black saree by Nikhil Thampi and substituted underskirt for a churidar and kamarband for a detail oriented golden belt. Her gold danglers are to die for 😛
Last but not the least I picked up three ladies dazzling in sarees. Diya Mirza wore this citrus hue Raw Mango saree with royal blue raw silk blouse. Thank God for a change Vidya Balan took a break from Sabyasachi outfits and radiating in this jewel tone metallic hue saree. And Rekha as always looking gracious in this orange & gold accents Banarsi saree paired with golden blouse and don’t miss her golden potli bag (slouchy bag).
So what do you think who else was best dressed at Filmfare awards. I hope you noticed shades of blue dominated the red carpet this season. I hope you liked this post and got some inspiration for your next party or wedding look. I will be back soon with my next post.
